State your own strength and use this Nevertheless, She Persisted SVG to customize totes, t-shirts, and other gear.

This phrase immediately rose to fame in 2017 when a female senator was silenced by a male senator (and later a male senator was permitted to continue reading what the female had been forced to stop.)
Women all over the world related to being silenced; to being told to sit down and shut up.
I created a design with this phrase for International Women’s Day, which is March 8th.
This message can have many meanings.
At the most basic level, it’s about never giving up.
Having the strength to keep going… to keep putting one foot in front of the other… to keep fighting, no matter what that fight is against.
Persist.
I’ve put this message on a canvas tote bag so I can use it every time I buy groceries.

How to use the “Nevertheless, She Persisted” SVG
Download the ZIP file #70 – Nevertheless, she persisted from the Free Files Folder.
Unzip the file and upload the SVG file to Cricut Design Space.
If you want to create the design just like it is shown, click on the Attach button in the bottom right corner, as in the screenshot below.

Each of the elements are separate, so you can easily make the lines of text different colors, change the proportions of the text and silhouttes, and adjust the SVG as you like.
Remember to mirror the design if you are cutting it out using HTV. Put the shiny, pretty side down on the green mat.
Weed the design. There are quite a few tiny pieces around the curly hair. You can use blue painters tape to pick up those little pieces. I found it was easy to loosen the pieces, then just press the tape to the design, and the tiny pieces just stuck to the tape when lifted.
(I actually redid the curly hair so it was easier to weed. If you look at the design below, you can see the two curly-haired women aren’t part of the larger HTV piece. I cut them again after improving the SVG.)

Look up which settings you need for your specific materials and HTV from the official Cricut settings guide.

Press following the guidelines and remove the front carrier sheet.

I hope you use this Nevertheless, She Persisted SVG to share your strength!

One of my favorite quotes is “Well-behaved women seldom make history.” Should I create a design using it?
