DIY Drink Markers

Nobody wants to put their lips on someone else’s glass!

You can get wine charms for wine glasses or different cozies for canned beverages…. but it’s easier and cheaper to simply cut out drink markers with your Cricut and stick them on any beverage glass.

Whether your guests are grabbing red solo cups or champagne flutes, they need to be able to tell which glass is theirs.

Let your guests choose one when they get their glass. It’s super easy to remember which one is yours when they are a picture; it’s more difficult the more drinks consumed if the marker is just a colored bead.

After the party, the drink markers just pull off the glass. (I always use heavy-duty outdoor vinyl, and I never have had a problem with them not coming off. Don’t burnish the vinyl when applying it; just stick it on like any old sticker.)

Do this for every party where drinks are flowing. It doesn’t matter if it’s a kids’ birthday party or New Year’s Eve, everyone needs to be able to easily identify their own glass!

I’ll be adding more holiday-themed drink markers as the holidays approach.

How to make custom drink markers

Halloween-themed drink markers are design #56 in the Free Files Folder.

1) Enter the password to the Free Files Folder. Scroll to the design and click on the link to download the ZIP file.

2) Unzip the file. Upload the SVG to Cricut Design Space.

3) Resize if you like.

4) Use up some scraps of vinyl for these little Halloween icons.

5) Weed the vinyl. Cut them into individual markers, and set them by the glasses at your party. Each guest will grab one when they grab their first beverage.

How easy are these drink markers? No need to spend $$ on Etsy on wine charms!

Don’t forget to make a custom Halloween wine bucket or sign for your cooler!

Thank you so much for sharing the vinyl stickers for glasses idea. I think it is brilliant and will put it to good use year round!
