Fun Engagement or Wedding Ring T-Shirt for a Bride

My “little sister” is having her wedding ceremony this weekend, and asked me to make a shirt for her.

This is a cheeky design! At first glance, it looks like a middle finger. (My kids immediately thought I was making something naughty!)

The standard shirt is all one color…. but I wanted to add some bling to it, so I created a few more layers for the ring.

In my version, the band is metallic gold and the stone is white glitter HTV.

Cricut cutting machine

How to make the shirt

Download the ZIP File, unzip it, and upload the SVG to Cricut Design Space.

Resize if you wish. There’s no need to ungroup or anything.

Cut the design out of iron-on vinyl (HTV). Remember to mirror!

Press the outline on a shirt. Only press for around 20 seconds, as we’ll be adding more layers.

Be careful when you remove the clear HTV backing! Wait until the film has cooled off.

Now, use the Easy Press Mini to apply the white glitter HTV.

Then, use it to apply the gold band.

The final layer is the ring outline. Align the design, then put it back into the heat press for the final transfer.

Notice how you can see the fabric weave through the gold HTV? This indicates good adhesion to the t-shirt.
